Bruce C. McGowan age 66 of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, April 5, 2023 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Bruce was born on March 7, 1957 to the late Kenneth McGowan and Beatrice Ashton McGowan in Bad Kreuznach, Germany.

He was a member of Potters Place Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, dancing, underwater diving, a fun guy that loved to laugh and enjoy life. He served from 1975-1995 in the Medical Group in the United States Air Force. His children were the light of his life and he cherished all of his family and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Beatrice McGowan. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, Marie McGowan, son, Brandon (Jo Anna) McGowan of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Elisha (Peter) Hussey of Monticello, Ky; brothers, Michael, David and Greg McGowan; grandchildren, Hana, Ian and Emi McGowan, Olivia and Gabriel Hussey.

Burial will be held at Mill Springs National Cemetery on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. Military Honors will be conducted by America Legion Honor Guard Post #38.
