Edward S. Sizemore

Edward S. Sizemore age 84, of Somerset passed from this life on Monday April 17, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Sizemore was born on September 13, 1938 to the late Luther Sizemore and Ada Campbell Sizemore in Hyden, Kentucky. Edward was a truck driver in the 1960’s, worked in construction during the 1970’s, then ran a backhoe service from 1993 to his retirement. He was also a landlord from 1989 until his retirement.  He loved racing cars when he was younger and camping. Edward was of the Church of God Faith.

Mr. Sizemore is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pearl Sizemore; sister, Wilma Jean Jeffers.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, Wife, Betty Lou Sizemore; A brother, Sterling Sizemore, A sister, Helen Helsley; daughters, Debbie Sizemore (Kenny Blackburn) and Darla Sizemore (Barry Weber); son, Eddie (Linda) Sizemore; Stepchildren, Larry Brown (Sue Rigas), Mike Brown, James Brown, Tim Brown, and Melanie Brown ( Don Poehner); 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 Great-great grandchildren; along with a host of friends and extended family members.

Visitation for Mr. Sizemore will be Thursday April 20, 2023 from Noon-1 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 P.M. with Bro. Johnny Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Southern Oaks Cemetery.
