Danny McKnight

Danny McKnight, age 70, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

Danny was born on May 26, 1952 to Harry McKnight and Mary Carroll McKnight in Richmond, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed working on old cars, going to car shows, he was the lead mechanic at Lee’s Ford Marina for over 20 years, a driver for World Wide Equipment for several years and enjoyed seeing the world through the windshield. He cherished his family.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Harry McKnight. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Mary McKnight, son, Curtis (Belinda) McKnight of Somerset, Ky; daughter, Crystal (Tim) Cox of Somerset, Ky; brothers, Bruce McKnight of Somerset, Ky; Ronnie McKnight of Berea, Ky; sisters, Carolyn (Richard) Stephens of Chandler, OK; Becky Haynes of Lexington, Ky; Candy (Tim) Cole of Bronston, Ky and grandson, Brendan McKnight; along with a host of extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Danny McKnight.
