Gary R. Bolin

Gary R. Bolin, 65, of Nancy, KY, passed away on March 18th, 2023, at his home. Gary was born in Kokomo, IN, May 16th, 1957, to Delta and Hershal Bolin. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Gary loved the outdoors, his family, music, and dogs. He never met a stranger and was a hero in many aspects. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, during Vietnam, and was a beloved local musician, the drummer for The Sadie Beck Band for many years. He is survived by his wife, Jacinta Bolin, his children, Gara Renee Bolin (Brent Barton), Jamie Miller and his six grandchildren, Kylie (Craig)Melton, Dakota Sherwood (Amara Holt), Jaylyn Sherwood, Bryce Barton, Jĺne (JJ) Miller and James Miller. Brother’s Ron (Della) Bolin, Dennis (Penny) Bolin and sisters Edith (Virgil) Baker and Debbie Bolin. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins along with the many he held dear to his heart as family. Gary and Jacinta involved themselves in the lives of many kids along the way helping to guide and raise whenever they could and claiming them as their own including Paul Sherwood, Denver Painter, Amy Casperson, and Deacha Ogle. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Lisa Dugger, Kathern Bolin, and Cindy Brady Pardo. Brother Joseph Wade Burton and nephew Michael Burton. There will be a celebration of life to honor Gary’s love of this world and contributions to the community.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 12 to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. at the funeral home. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Gary R. Bolin.
