Mary Casada Meador

Mary Casada Meador, age 80, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

Mary was born on July 3, 1942 to the late Richard Staley and Elsie Alexander Staley in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was a lifetime member of Denham Street Baptist Church. She was a genealogist, she compiled several family tree books, not only for her family but for other people who hired her to trace their family tree.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Staley and Elsie Nicholson, her first husband, Larry Casada and her second husband, Joe Meador, son, Doyle Casada, brother, Robert “Bob” Nicholson, sister, Judy Nicholson and daughter-in law, Amanda Casada.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Anthony Casada, daughter, Kim (Randy) Dalton, brothers, Frank (Karen) Staley, Lee (Jean) Nicholson, sister, Jayne (Chip) Smith, grandchildren, Adam, Tela, Paige, Alexcia, great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Jensin and Colt.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 12 to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Grant Hardwick and Bro. Jack Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mary Casada Meador Memorial Fund.
