Opal Marie Flynn

Opal Marie Flynn, age 93, of Bronston, Kentucky passed from this life Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at McCreary Health and Rehab.

Opal was born September 20, 1928 to Johnnie Hardwick and Hazel Branscum Hardwick in Bronston, Kentucky.

She was a member of Quinton Baptist Church and she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, quilting and she loved her family especially, her grandchildren.

Opal was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Hazel Hardwick, her husband, Ernest Clifford Flynn, whom she married on October 19, 1946 in Pulaski, County; son, Ernest Ray Flynn, grandson, Dusty Ray Flynn, brother, Denver Hardwick, sisters, Wanda Garrett, Tiny Wood, Mae Williams.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Virgil Lee (Katrina) Flynn of Amherst, OH; Doyle Allen Flynn of Bronston, Ky; daughters, Helen Marie (Jack) Denney of Bronston, Ky; Glenda Joyce (Jerry) Phillips of Somerset, Ky; Nancy (Frank) Casada of Bronston, Ky; grandchildren, Penny Starkey, Trevor Flynn, Cody (Katie) Flynn, Beth Denney, Heather Flynn, Rhiannon (Jason) Brown, Jordan Phillips; great-grandchildren, Savannah Starkey, Alex Brown, Brennen Brown.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Ron Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Quinton Cemetery in Bronston, Kentucky. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Opal Marie Flynn.
