Larry “Homie” Orr Homie

Larry “Homie” Orr Homie, 75, died peacefully May 15, 2022, in his home. He was born August 15, 1946, in Wilson, Arkansas, the son of Will and Mary Hawk Orr. Larry was a devoted follower of Christ, and loved every person he met. “Homie” never met a stranger and always made a friend.

Larry married the love of his life Karen Orr (Williams) on July 15, 1966. He went on to become a preacher, school bus driver, and an elementary school resource officer. He is survived by his three children, Anthony Orr (Kara), Winchester, KY, Christie Orr, State College, PA, and Jill Sobczak (Abe), (Xieng Khouangm, Laos). He enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren, Madeline Orr (22), Coleman Toliver (21), Miles Toliver (19), Blake, Orr (18), Kenna Orr (12), and Easton Sobczak (12).

A visitation will be held on May 23, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Suits Us Farms, 4291 KY-80, Somerset, KY, 42503.

A visitation will be held on May 24, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 501 Church St., Sweetwater, TN 37874.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Somerset Independent Schools Family Resource and Youth Service Centers or Sweetwater Area Ministries
