Melinda Louise Dalton, age 52, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Melinda was born on December 8, 1969 to Darmus Dalton and Cleda Wilson Dalton in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was of the Baptist faith. Melinda was a caregiver of her Mother. She loved and enjoyed cooking and was proud of her cooking. She loved to have a good time and make everyone laugh.

Melinda was preceded in death by her father, Darmus Dalton, brother, Darmus “Bubby” Dalton Jr., niece, Christy Dick and great-niece, Balie Decker.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Cleda Dalton of Burnside, Ky; brother, James (Tina) Dalton of Somerset, Ky; sisters, Debra (Joe) Dobbs of Somerset, Ky; Tresa Flynn of Somerset, Ky; Vonda (David) Meade of Bronston, Ky; Cathy Dalton of Somerset, Ky and Loretta Stewart; along with several nieces, nephews, several great-nieces and nephews; like a daughter, Shaelyn Davis; as well as three great-great nieces and one great-great nephew; best friend, Kayla Davis; special friend Shelbie Hill and special niece, Apryl Dalton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Jim Matthieu officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery in Keno, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Melinda Dalton Memorial Fund.
