Everett Travis West

Everett Travis West age 55 of Ferguson, Kentucky passed from this life Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Travis was born October 11, 1966 to Everett and Vicki Simpson West in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working with cattle. He was well known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and unique way of filling a room.

Travis was preceded in death by his mother Vicki West, sister Trudy Lynn West, brother Joey Talbot. Grandparents, Betty Simpson, John Marion West, Audrey Wesley Morris, and Hobert Morris, and his Aunt Irene Tomlinson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father, Everett West; son Travis Aaron West of North Dakota; daughters, Trudy West of Ferguson; Kylee and Austin Tarter of Nancy; sister Traci and David Crabtree of Somerset; grandchildren Joshua West, Coltan Randolph and Wesson Tarter; Uncle Richard and Barb West Cousins Scott West and Tammy Tomlinson- Phelps along with a special friend, Julie Cowan, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 24, 2022 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday February 25, 2022 at 2 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Beechgrove Methodist Church Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Travis West. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
