Lowell Goldson

Lowell Goldson, age 78, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Friday, December 17, 2021 at Stanford Care and Rehab.

Lowell was born March 27, 1943 to Robert “Bob” Goldson and Evelyn Linda Walker in Hargis Community, in Pulaski County.

He was a member of Blue John Baptist Church.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn Goldson; brothers, Danny Goldson, Jerry Goldson; sisters, Margaret Langdon, Barbara Jean Goldson and Patricia Goldson; stepson, Paul Lane and granddaughter, Cherilyn Savanna Lane.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Doris Jean Brinson Vanover; daughters, Lori Ann Tweedy (James) of Scottsburg, IN; Sue Ann Lane of Jeffersonville, IN; brothers, Leroy Goldson of Blue John, Ky; Jim Goldson (Sarah) of Blue John, Ky; stepchildren whom he loved, Lee Vanover of Somerset; Shirley Hampton of Somerset, Ky; Franklin Lane of Scottsburg, IN; Gilbert Lane of Scottsburg, IN; Betty Sue Crume of Washington, IN and granddaughter, Rachel Melissa Ruth Thomas of Scottsburg, IN: along with a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 12 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Kevin Hampton officiating.  Burial will follow in Blue John Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Lowell Goldson.
