Dorothy Marie Colyer, age 76, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Dorothy was born December 14, 1944 to Boyd Bingham and Lora Simpson Bingham in the Shopville Community of Pulaski County, Kentucky.

She attended Heritage Hope Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed Facebook.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Lora Bingham; son, Jessie Cook Jr.; brothers, Johnny Bingham, Bud Bingham, Lee Bingham and Jim Bingham; sisters, Elizabeth Wright and Lena Gilbert.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sherry Seward of Cedar Grove Community of Somerset; Brenda Cook of Somerset; Patty Cook of Somerset; Anita Chumbley (Paul) of Columbia, Ky; Tabatha Watters (Lee) of Somerset; brothers; David Bingham of Shopville; Paul Binghm of IN; Brent Bingham of IN; sisters, Karen Stogsdill (Cooper) of Shopville; Mary Akin (Edd) of Somerset; 17 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren; along with special friend for 19 years, Hubert Carrender.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 12 to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. with Bro. Johnnie Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Dorothy Marie Colyer.
