Kenneth Upchurch

Kenneth Upchurch, age 73 of Monticello, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born on April 9, 1948 in Monticello, son of the late Teddy and Alene Chriswell Upchurch.

He has worked in construction and was of the Baptist faith. He loved working on the farm with his tractors and lawn mowers. He loved being outdoors and taking care of his horses, cows and goats. Most of all, he loved and cherished his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gene Upchurch; and his sister; Loretta McWhorter.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue Upchurch; his son, Scott Upchurch of Monticello, brothers, Bruce Upchurch and Willard Upchurch both of Monticello; sisters, Jeanette Decker and Joyce Cooper both of Monticello, Ruth Volz and Betty Carpenter both of Maysville, KY; Sue Earlywine and Martha Upchurch both of Mt Olivet, KY; grandchildren, Donathan Upchurch, Domanic Upchurch, Debbany Upchurch and Dawson Upchurch; and great-granddaughters, Emma Upchurch and Ella Upchurch.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Taylor’s Cemetery in Monticello.
