Tammy Opfer, age 54, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Saturday, October 23, 2021 at UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Tammy was born April 16, 1967 to Haston Hill and Donna Whitaker Hill in Whitley City, Kentucky.

She was of the Baptist faith and liked to fish, visit the beach. She was very family oriented and cherished her family greatly.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Haston and Donna Hill; grandchildren, “Angel Baby” and Xavier Nelson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 33 years, Steve Opfer; daughters, Stephanie Caldwell (Matt) of Somerset; Ashley Opfer (Steven) of Somerset; Brandi Nelson (Nathan) of Somerset; brother, Tommy Rippy of Hudson, FL; grandchildren, Hayden Caldwell, Jacob Caldwell, Ashton McKee, Damion McKee, Juliet McKee, Gavin Nelson, Carson Nelson.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12 to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Billy Hale officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tammy Opfer Memorial Fund.
