Rural Dale Floyd, age 73, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, October 8, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on March 30, 1948 in Faubush, Kentucky, son of the late Olive Bernice Floyd Baker.

He was a logger and of the Baptist faith. He liked cars, electronics, gardening, cutting wood, wood carving, tinkering with motors, and he loved kids. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his sisters; Reva Waters, Mary Baker and Margaret Baker, brothers; Thomas Baker, William David Baker and Stephen Floyd Baker.

He is survived by his fiancé; Clara Valentour of Blue John Community, sisters; Retha Bryeans of Las Vegas, Alice (Ronald) Lawless of Liberty, KY, Elizabeth Kissee if Ingle, KY, Barbara (Ronny) Boyer of Science Hill, KY and Becky (Terry) Walsh of Indiana.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services to be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Lowell Gossett officiating. Burial will be on Valentour Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Valentour Family Cemetery Fund.
