Wanda Poland

Wanda Poland, age 77, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Monday, October 11, 2021 at her home.

Wanda was born July 21, 1944 to Walter Dolan and Sarah Margaret Weir Dolan in Jackson, Tennessee.

She was of the Methodist faith and like to read, work puzzles, loved to travel and go on cruises. A member of the Eastern Star and active member of Shriner’s, most of all she cherished her family.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sarah Dolan; her husband, James Alfred Poland; daughter, Eva Poland and brother, Harold Dolan.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Tony Poland (Farrah) of Somerset; Tim Poland (Laura) of Somerset; daughters, Susan Nicholson (Wes) of Somerset; Sandi Yadon of Somerset; brother, Bobby Dolan (Dorenda) of Florence, AL; sister, Lynn Gist (David) of Florence, AL; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tim Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
