Deloris Meece, age 68, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Friday, October 1, 2021 at her home.

Deloris was born July 10, 1953 to Tom Chaffin and Opal Janita Hudson in Harlan, Kentucky.

She enjoyed dancing, the flea market, playing cards and spending time with family.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Chaffin and Opal Janita Huson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, James O. Meece; sons, Curtis Chaffin Verna of Somerset; Alec Allen Ross (Seda) of Miami, FL; brother, Jack Chaffin of Jelico, TN; sister, Katherine Hawk of Somerset; 2 grandchildren, Houston Rogers (Chaffin) and Dylan Chaffin.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 12 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. with Bro. Jesse McCoy officiating. Burial to follow in Birdie Russell Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Deloris Meece.
