Jerry D. Tomlinson, 79, passed away on July 31, 2021.

He was born in Jacksonville, FL on July 4, 1942 where he lived most of his life until moving to Somerset, KY in May 2019. Jerry was very special and unique. He was autistic. Protected and loved by his mother until she passed away in 2012. His brother and his brother’s wife then cared for him until his death.

Jerry loved people, music, football and politics. Jerry rarely complained. The autism trait gave him the ability to remember names, relationships and birthdays. He never forgot any of this information as soon as he learned it.

He is survived by his brother, Walter E. (Sharon) and two nephews, Van and Travis (Donna) and 5 great-nieces and nephews and an absolute host of friends. Jerry loved everyone and everyone loved him.

Born on Independence Day, he certainly was an independent individual. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
