Betty Pearl Ping age 77, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Thursday, June 17, 2021 at her home.

Betty was born July 11, 1943 to the late Jonathan Brinson and Betty Phelps Brinson in Colo, Kentucky.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting books, working crosswords and collecting 1st Edition Books.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Brinson; sisters, Edith Rose, Christine Rose, Jenelle Tuggle, Altena Meece and Lera Brown. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Joseph Ping; sons, Steven (Karen) Ping of Knoxville, TN; Joseph (Jean) Ping of Somerset, KY; daughters, Karen (Wil) Cannon of Bowling Green, KY; Teresa (Alan) Jones of Oliver Springs, TN; brother, Alonzo Brinson; sisters, Mildred Glover and Dorothy Godby; grandchildren, Kyle Cannon, Tyler Cannon, Joshua Cannon, Mark Jones, Nathan Jones, Cody Jones, Luke Jones, Travis Ping, Jacob Ping, Caleb Ping, Zoey Ping, Brenda Jones; great-grandchildren, Noah Cannon and Caroline Cannon.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Vestal Meece officiating, burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
