Russell Simpson

Russell Simpson, age 74, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his home.

He was born on December 13, 1946 in Nancy, son of the late Ernest and Onnie Ard Simpson.

He was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed working on the farm and going to the field trails with his beagles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dwain Simpson; and three sisters, Leva Tarter, Juanita Munsey, and Jeree Pierce.

He is survived by two sons, Garry (Lisa) Simpson, and Roy Simpson, all of Nancy; two sisters, Mary (Tommy) Thompson of Indiana, and Janice (Doyle) Patterson of Somerset; and three grandchildren, Hunter Simpson, Tyler Simpson and Tori Simpson.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery in Nancy.
