Athel Robertson

Monday, August 24, 2020 – 2:30 P.M.

Athel Robertson age 81, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. 

Athel was born November 25, 1938 to the late Cornelius Jones Robertson and Zona Mae Holt Robertson in Russell Springs, Kentucky. 

 He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, enjoyed singing and good gospel music. 

Athel was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Zona Robertson, his wife, Madalene Robertson, brother, Elbert Robertson, grandson, Jacob M. Robertson, and granddaughter, Whitney A. Robertson.  

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Michael A. Robertson (Tammy) of Brownsburg, IN, Jon W. Robertson (Hollie) of Avon, IN, Stephen L. Robertson (Kim) of Columbus, OH, brothers, James Robertson of Indianapolis, IN, Lon Robertson of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, Lanna M. Williams (Kyle) of Sabastian, FL, Hannah E. Fultz (Alec) of Middletown, OH, Emily M. Ginder (Eric) of North Branch, MN, Daniel J. Robertson of Wilder, KY, Erika M. Haley of Brownsburg, IN, Lillian M. Argue of Avon, IN and one great-grandchild, Zoe M. Fultz.  

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.  

Visitation will continue on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. at the Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana with a graveside service to begin at 2:30 P.M.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
