Harold Ray Ballou

Harold Ray Ballou age 73, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life Friday, June 19, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Harold was born December 2, 1946 to the late Kenneth Allen Ballou and Letha Taylor Ballou in Antioch, Kentucky.

He was of the Christian faith and loved watching Christian TV programs, loved to laugh and cut up, he enjoyed his CB and his handle was “Night Owl,” listening to George Jones, but most of all loved his children and grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Lay Ballou, sons, Curtis Ballou, Jeffrey Calhoun, brother, Joe Ballou, granddaughter, Cristie Calhoun and great-granddaughter, Cristie Robinson.

He is survived by sons, Kelvin Calhoun of Burnside, Donald (Jenny) Calhoun of Somerset, Edward (April) Calhoun of Burnside, daughters, Marilyn Ballou of Somerset, Rita Genoe of Somerset, Diane (Ricky) Calhoun of Somerset, Karen Calhoun-William Burton of Nancy, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Jason Moore officiating.

Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harold Ballou Memorial Fund.
