Season Marie Godby

Season Marie Godby, age 41 of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Season the beautiful daughter of Robert and Deborah Godby lost her battle with cancer. She was very brave and fought to the end. Season was born July 26, 1978 in Somerset, Ky. She was proud to be a Kentucky girl. She was a Briar Jumper all the way. She was on the Flag team during her High School years at Somerset High School. Season would spend hours talking with the elderly asking questions about their lives here in Pulaski County. She loved her fur babies, Fancy and Tiger. Tiger has been her faithful companion for 15 years and was with her at the end.

Season will be forever missed by her daddy and mommy, Robert and Deborah Godby, along with her brother, Gary Bruner, and her sister, Angela (Billy) Strunk, her nieces, Alya Strunk, Ashley Bruner, Mackenzie Bruner, nephews, BJ Strunk, Quentin Bruner,  special Aunt and Uncle, Denise and Mike Rodgers, and always in his heart, her loving companion, Michael Aker, special nanny, Helen Price, extended family, Lesa and Mike Aker, other Aunts and Uncles mourning her loss are, Dana Mejean, Darla Crabtree, Rachel Anderson, Darrel Bruner and Jeff Godby.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Dalous Sears officiating.

Burial will be in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Season Marie Godby Memorial Fund.
