George Helton

George Helton age 64, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

George was born March 12, 1956 to the late Grant Helton and Martha Saylor Helton in Pineville, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith and loved to garden, fish, camp, and hunt deer. He cherished his family more than anything.

George was preceded in death by his parents, brother, France Helton, sisters, Laura Caldwell and Irene Wynn.

He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Christine Helton, daughters, Frances Loveless (Bill) of Burnside, Rhonda Georgette Helton of Burnside, sister, Sarah Goff (Ray) of Burnside, grandchildren, Tabitha Gregory, George Christian, Tori Gregory, Connor Loveless, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Hampton officiating. A drive through visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 6, 2020 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 guidelines, we ask that everyone stay in your vehicle during the drive through service. A private burial will take place in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the George Helton Memorial Fund.
