Ona E. Brown

Ona E. Brown, age 78 of Science Hill, Kentucky passed from this life Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Ona was born March 26, 1941 in Drum, Kentucky to the late Orville Slavey and Geneva Glover Slavey.

She married her husband, Dallas Brown on January 24, 1957 in Somerset, Kentucky. She was of the Baptist Faith, and loved reading, cooking, UK Basketball, but most of all loved her family.

Ona was preceded in death by her parents; son, Trevor Brown; granddaughters, Madison Hannah; and Megan Bertram; brothers, Floyd Slavey; Wayne Slavey; James Slavey; sisters, Wilma Jean Brown; Loretta Slavey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Dallas Brown; sons, Terry Brown (Ruby) of Somerset; Timothy Brown of Somerset; daughters, Tonja Vanover (Rubin) of Somerset; Teresa Hannah (John) of Somerset; brothers, Ronnie Slavey (Lisa) of Somerset; Junior Slavey of Somerset; sister, Linda Glover of Somerset; grandchildren, Kendra Hawk; Katrina Bertram; Joshua Hannah; Jamie Hannah; Misty Mize; Ashley Brown; Matt Brown; TL Brown; Dakota Brown; great grandchildren, Ryan Hess; Cali Jo Hannah; Abby Hannah; Lillee Mize; Mollee Mize; Haelie Brown; Branson Brown; Bailey Brown; Brady Brown; Brooklyn Brown; Camdon Marcum; Zoey Brown; Cecilia Brown; Riley Brown.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Lawson officiating.

Burial will be in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
