Jerry L. Ping

Jerry L. Ping age 54 of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at his home.

Jerry was born October 17, 1965 to the late Andrew Ping and Blanche Meece Ping in Somerset, Kentucky.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith, he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, trucks, boats, lawn mowers, and loved to watch wrestling.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Ping; and a sister Janice Ping.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Ping of Somerset; Mike Ping (Aleshia) of Somerset; daughter, Kayla Brasfield (Russell) of Somerset; brothers, Buddy Ping of Somerset; Sam (Katie) Ping of Somerset; Floyd (PJ) Ping of Bowling Green; sisters, Violet Franklin; Elizabeth Phelps both of Somerset; grandchildren, Sophie Brasfield; Gracii Ping; Olivia Brasfield; Forrest Brasfield; Ashlynn Ping; Wesley Ping; Callen Brasfield; Savannah Ping; and a very close friend, David Hall of Somerset, whom was like family to him.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Gary Wilson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Honor Guard Post# 38.

Burial will be in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
