Charles E. Morris

Charles E. Morris, age 65, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the University Of Tennessee Medical Center.

He was born on June 9, 1954 in Cherry Point, North Carolina, son of the late Wallis Earl and Ramona “Pat” Dean Morris.

He was a retired Aircraft Mechanic for ExpressJet Airlines and a former member of the Pulaski County Jaycees. He moved to Kentucky from North Carolina during his youth, then to Shreveport, Louisiana then to Tennessee, and finally made it back to Kentucky for his retirement. He was an avid collector, TV/movie buff who loved watching John Wayne movies and SciFi movies. He enjoyed Marvel Comics and he especially loved children. He enjoyed family get-togethers and was a great cook. He was baptized at Duke Memorial Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Pat Morris.

He is survived by two daughters: Cathryn (Matt) Hahn of Somerset and Brittiny (Nathan Janes) Penick of Campbellsville; two brothers, Wally (Beverly) Morris of Somerset and John Morris of Science Hill; niece Christina Morris, nephew David Morris and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday July, 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral with Bro. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
