Geneva Alton

Geneva Alton, age 79, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

She was born on August 18, 1939 in Tateville, Kentucky, daughter of the late John and Eacel Bray Cox.

She was a homemaker and a member of Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed her church, her family, her house flowers and her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marcus Franklin Alton; her brother Bobby Cox and her sisters Betty Jean Cox and Wilma Cox.

She is survived by her son Jessie Alton of Somerset and her brother Russell Cox of Somerset. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Ron Shaw officiating.

Burial will follow in Grave Hill Cemetery.
