Debbie Sue East

Debbie Sue East, age 54, of Parkers Lake, in McCreary County, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the A. B. Chandler, UK Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born on March 14, 1963 in Somerset, daughter of Sue Carol McLeod Neal of Stearns and the Late Willie Ellis East.
Debbie was a Cook at the Whistle Stop Cafe of Stearns where she was able to do one of her greatest passions of cooking for others. She especially enjoyed making Christmas candy for everyone as well as spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time Debbie enjoyed reading the Bible, quilting and crocheting as well as listening to a variety of music especially Classic Rock. She was of the Methodist Faith and a member of the Mill Creek Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her beloved mother; Sue Carol McLeod (Ray) Neal of Stearns, Sons; Billy Dean Stephens, Jr. of Stearns, Shannon Matthew (Brandi) Sullivan of Monticello, Randy Edward Strunk, Tyler Andrew Strunk, Trevor Allen Strunk, and Brandon Lee Ridner all of Parkers Lake, Daughters; Jennifer Jean Vanhook of Whitley City, Billie Jo (Stephen) Lowery of Somerset, Sabra Lee Troxell of Monticello, and Abigail Elaine Strunk of Parkers Lake, Brothers; Willie East, Jr. of Parkers Lake and Carson (Ruthie) Neal of Stearns, Sister; Francina Sparks of Stearns, Thirteen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Mill Creek Methodist Church, Eagle Creek Road, Parkers Lake, Kentucky 42634. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ronnie Decker officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thomas East, Mark Manning, Stephen Lowery, Brian Patrick, Ricky Vanhook, Jarrett Barnett, Boyd Parriman and Daniel King.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Debbie Sue East Memorial Fund in care of Southern Oaks Funeral Home, 2110 West Highway 914, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
