Ronald Lewis “Bull” Dalton

     October 18, 1943 - September 19, 2016

Ronald Lewis “Bull” Dalton, age 72, of Science Hill, passed from this life on Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Ronald was born on October 18, 1943, in Science Hill, son of the late Lewis and Irene Harmon Dalton.  He married Lois Bishop, on August 29, 1961, in Somerset.  Ronald was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He was a retired fork lift driver from the Tecumseh Products Corporation, of Ferguson.  Ronald loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed watching UK Basketball and NASCAR.  Ronald loved spending time with his grandchildren and sitting in his porch swing.  He loved fixing supper for his family.  Ronald enjoyed working in his garage and hanging out with “Cornbread” at TW Auto Sales, and hanging out at AA Auto Sales and Ace Auto Sales.  He was a trader. Ronald was a member of First Baptist Church of Science Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; his son, Ronald Scott Dalton, of Science Hill; his daughters, Tami (and husband, Teddy) Brady, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Kristi (and husband, Wendell) Cassada, of Eubank; his brother, Gary Dalton, of Science Hill; his sister, Gail Shepherd, of Science Hill; his grandchildren, Stephanie (and husband, Larry) Eldridge, Nikki Dalton (and Ben Gilliam), Kristen Dalton, Ricky Chappell (and Makenzie Abbott), Kadyn Brady, Eric (and wife, Carla) Dalton, and Heather Cassada; and his great-grandchildren, Kay-Lee Abbott, Kenedi Abbott, McKayla Jones, Hailey Griffin and Tyler (and wife, Brittney) Jones.

Preceding Ronald in death are his parents; his brothers, Bobby Dalton, Timmy Dalton and Jimmy Dalton; his sister, Wanda Sweeney; his daughter-in-law, Sheila Beach Dalton; and his brothers-in-law, William Shepherd and Lloyd Sweeney.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 23, 2016, after 6:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Carson Atwood officiating.  Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.  Ronald’s son and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
