Michael James Edward “Mic” Hayes, age
29, of Tateville went home to be with the Lord after a brief
illness on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Lake Cumberland
Michael was born in Somerset, Ky on
January 2, 1988 to Michael W. and Linda J. Prosser Hayes. He
enjoyed spending time with his son, video games, making people
laugh, working, fishing, being a cut up and the family comedian.
Michael was a member at First Baptist Church, Burnside, KY. He
was a 2006 Graduate of Southwestern High School. Michael was
employed at UGN Somerset.
He is survived by his parents,
Michael W. and Linda J. Prosser Hayes; a son, Michael Isaiah
Gabriel Hayes; grandmother, Mildred McMullin, of Tateville, Judy
Prosser, of Smethport, PA; sister, Virginia Hayes Dowell (Steven
Perry), of Tateville; nephew, Joseph Hayes; nieces, Ronda Dick,
Michelle Dick; aunts, Paula (and Josh) McKinnly, Debbie (and
John) Wells, Denise Lakes, Wanda Duffy, Pam Dowell, Ronda (and
James) Duffy, Norma (and Adam) Maxwell, Ann (and Stan)
Fitzsimmons, Gwen (and Roy) Zylinski, Jamilee (and William)
Levey, Ruth (and Vince) Lushbaugh; uncles, James (and Hattie)

Visitation will be Wednesday, March
1, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral
Home, Somerset, KY.
Funeral services will be Thursday,
March 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Southern Oaks,
Somerset, KY with Bro. Roger Dykes and Richard Christian. Burial
will be in the Hayes Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph
Hayes, Dustin Hines, Fred Clemons, Evan Shelton, Cory Glover,
Deric Brown, Zachary “Pooh” Wilson, and James “M&M” Duffy.
