John Richard Allen Roark

   December 26, 1960 - May 24, 2013

John Richard Allen Roark, age 52 of Somerset, Kentucky departed this life on May 24, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on December 26, 1960 in Somerset, Kentucky to Paulette Burdine and the late Junior (Billy) Roark.  He was a laborer for L. R. Halcomb, General Contractor.  Mr. Roark was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church of God.  Mr. Roark enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching Nascar, Kentucky Basketball and spending time with his grandkids. 

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Burton Roark, whom he married on May 3, 1985 in Somerset, KY; two sons, Matthew Roark and Justin Roark, both of Somerset, KY; a daughter, Samantha Roark of OH; three grandchildren, Levi, Lindsay and Laci Roark; two brothers, Mark Roark of Dayton, OH and Brian (and Nicole) Roark of Somerset, KY; and two sisters, Virginia (and Mitch) Turner of Dayton, OH and Jenifer Roark (and Anthony) of Somerset, KY.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Francheska Roark; a brother, Freddy Roark and a sister, Melissa Roark. 

Visitation will be on Monday, May 27, 2013 after 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Johnny Dunbar officiating.  Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Chad Madden, Mark Burton, Christian Madden, Justin Roark, Thomas Madden and Dane Rogers.
