Homer H. Davis, Jr., age 47, of
Bronston, passed from this life on Monday, August 22, 2016.
Homer was born in Chicago,
Illinois, on December 7, 1968, son of Homer Davis, Sr. and
Judith Ann Smith Davis Caster.
He was a graduate of the Pulaski County
High School Class of 1987.
Homer married Lola Dugger, in Somerset,
on January 9, 1995.
He worked as the meat manager/cutter for
Save-A-Lot North, of Somerset.
Homer loved the outdoors; he loved the
lake and going fishing.
He loved playing horseshoes and
Homer enjoyed his family time and
visiting with friends.
He was a member of St. Mildred’s
Catholic Church, in Monticello.
He is survived by his parents,
Homer Davis, Sr., of Somerset, and Judith Caster, of Tateville;
his wife, Lola Davis; his son, Dustin Lee Davis, of Ft. Wayne,
Indiana; his daughters, Brittany Davis and Cindy Davis, of
Bronston; and his brothers, Boyd (and Debbie) Davis, of Jenkins,
and Arland David (and Trena) Davis, of Tateville.
Preceding Homer in death is his
brother, George Earl Davis; his grandparents, Noel and Betty
Davis; and his father-in-law, Herbert E. Dugger, Sr.
Visitation will be on
Wednesday, August 24, 2016, after 6:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks
Funeral Home Chapel.
Masonic Rites will be conducted
by the Burnside Masonic Lodge #634, on Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m.,
in the funeral home chapel.
Funeral services will be on
Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks
Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jay VonHandorf officiating.
Burial will be in Quinton Cemetery, in
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
