Emma Clotene Conley was born on
October 30, 1931, in Paintsville, to Hurschel and Blanche
She passed from this life on July 3,
2016, in Somerset.
Clotene is survived by her
husband of 64 years, Bruce W. Conley, whom she married on
November 22, 1952, in Paintsville; her two daughters, Pat (and
husband, Jesse) McCoy, and Linda Merritt; three grandchildren,
Melissa (and husband, Bert) Goodyear, Erin (and husband, Jamie)
Dunaway, and Kyle McCoy (and fiance, Jessica Burton);
great-grandchildren, Peyton Dunaway and Parker Dunaway (who is
due July 21st);
step-grandchildren, Blake Burton and Mason Burton; three
sisters, Pearlene Stambaugh, Joanne (and husband, William)
Burchett and Bonita (and husband, Danny) Daniels; two brothers,
M.J. (and wife, Joann) VanHoose, and David (and wife, Joyce)
VanHoose; along with a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; and three brothers, Paul, Bobbie and Kinnith
Clotene was a member of Denham
Street Baptist Church since 1973, and was a faithful member
until her illness.
She was employed by Rose’s Department
Store for 32 years, working in their housewares department.
enjoyed people, keeping up with her friends by phone, and
sitting on her porch.

Visitation will be Tuesday,
July 5, 2016, after 6:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home
Funeral services will be held
on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., at Denham Street
Baptist Church, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until funeral
service time. Bro. Jesse McCoy, Bro. Jeff Griffith and Bro.
David Muse will officiate the funeral service.
Musical selections will be provided by
the Denham Street Baptist Church choir.
Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
